House Bill 20 modifies existing courtesy car statutes to make third parties eligible to receive a courtesy car grant. The bill is aimed at providing an avenue for state-owned airports to secure a courtesy car but could apply to other airports that have trouble finding a municipality to assume courtesy car responsibilities. The bill also clarifies some ambiguities in the existing statute.
The bill will be heard before the Senate Highways and Transportation Committee on Tuesday, March 9th at 3:00 p.m. in Room 405.
Supporters are encouraged/welcome to testify in person and have the option to testify virtually. Those choosing to testify virtually, need to register by clicking on the blue banner “Request to Testify Remotely/Upload Your Testimony” located on this linked page (Have Your Say Montana - Montana State Legislature (mt.gov)) on March 6, 7, or 8 but no later than 12:00 noon on March 8.
This is a good bill for Montana pilots, as well as visitors who use Montana's airports.
